New Year Bash 09
Be our guest for our annual New Year celebration and ringing in the new year with us! Experience all the familiar sights, sound and smiles we had last year, plus a few more!
The HRC New Year Bash is a casual invitational for select guests, visitors, friends of and members of the HRC; so if you got this link then you are invited. Please feel free to bring some friends but please limit the size of your party to 6 as this is held at Pastor's personal residence! This is a family friendly alcohol free celebration.
So what's gonna' be at the party?
Well, since you asked! The party kicks off at 7:30pm sharp, door prizes will be awarded to the first 10 people through the door (said prizes will be presented at 10pm), plus the winners will be selected for a special post-midnight drawing (can't say what it is, must be present to participate).
There will be plenty of good Christian music all night long. If you want to bring some of your CD's you are welcome to do so (be sure you keep an eye on them so they don't walk away).

Is there gonna' be munchies?
There will be plenty of eats, treats, drinks and snacks to go around for everybody. It will all be spread out buffet style. If you would like to participate and bring a covered dish, dessert, drinks, etc. Please contact us by using the form at the bottom of the page. Keep in mind you are our guest, we know that this is the holiday season and it is sometimes difficult to do these things. Do contact us if you have any Q's.
What about stuff for the kiddos?
There will be party favors on all of the tables so everyone will get the chance to join in with the festivities! You can bring your own if you'd like; the more the merrier, right? Please no fireworks allowed as we're within the city limits and is illegal to possess them.
The kids are gonna' love the non-stop action, fun, games and prizes from 8:30pm 'til the last parent leaves =)
A great time for them to laugh, make new friends and establish solid bonds with other children. We're wheel chair accessible too!
So tell me more about the party?
The party starts as soon as you arrive. Immediately as you enter and as guests arrive everything will flow into a mixed celebration of sight and sound as well have the music pumping and the jumbo video screen rocking with your favorite Christian artists. There will be a little of everything for all.
We'll have games, bible trivia quizzes, fun and prizes to be had; prayer, fellowship and more!
We'll even have an open mic set up w/ a guitar and bongos in case anyone wants to praise the Lord in worship and song.
There is more but we can't give all of the surprises away.
So what happens at midnight?
Seriously? Is this a trick question? Just before midnight (11:20ish) everyone will be asked to say a few words. Then Pastor will say the prayer to end the year and begin the new; after wards we will anticipate the notorious count down.
Then at midnight we'll throw confetti, pop safe party streamers, sing along to auld lang syne (7 different versions) and pop the corks on numerous bottles of HEB brand non-alcoholic sparkling white grape juice!
The open mic set up will remain available for any late comers and we'll continue to fellowship!

Ha, ha, don't be silly! We're gonna' be here ringing in the new year in
all 4 time zones (this is the Hard Rock Church after all)!
Which brings us to our last featurette of the evening. The grand finale, the topper of the evenings events. The official Hard Rock Church Party Animal of the Year Award (sponsored by Pastor Roland)!
How do you win? Its a last man standing scenario. Who ever is the last to leave the party automatically wins the coveted award currently held by Sis. Brenda Gloria (Pastor's sister who stayed til 4:01am last year).
So how can I win this award?
1. You have to arrive at the party before 8pm.
2. You can't leave and return unless it is to pick up a guest or take one home (45 minute time limit).
3. You have to be the last one to leave (besides residents or designated overnight guests).
4. Contest winner will be decided at daybreak if there are two or more guests still standing (oh and you can't fall asleep).
So whats the prize?
1. A cheap trophy giving you bragging rights for all of 2010.
2. An official certificate recognizing you as the HRC Party Animal of the Year Award Winner for 2009.
3. Pastor and his wife will personally prepare and serve a 3 course dinner for you and your guest at their house on February, 8th 2010 at 7:30pm.
